2006 PCL Hall of Fame - Bill Weiss

Bill Weiss

The longest-serving executive in PCL history and one of the most highly regarded statisticians in baseball at any level, Bill Weiss joined the league in 1950 as official statistician and held that post until the late 1990s, when he assumed his current position as Official League Statistical Historian. He singlehandedly made the PCL the model for all minor leagues in terms of statistics. A man known for meticulous detail, he has been a contributor to several historical references, including the Pacific Coast Baseball News publication.
