He threw a perfect game for his initial professional victory. He followed that up by combining on a no-hitter for his second win.
That combination is enough to start turning a few heads. As they say on late night TV: “But wait! There’s more!”
His record this season now stands at 3-0 with 57 strikeouts in 44 innings pitched for the Columbus Catfish of the South Atlantic League [SAL]. Chuck will get a chance to showcase his stuff later this month against the league’s best talent in the 2004 SAL All-Star Game.
The Dodgers should put Tiffany on the move to a more upscale location, say AA, by the end of 2004 or spring 2005.
Chuck embodies a lot of the qualities that the Dodgers scouts are so great at locating in top pitching talent. He has the stuff to be a dominating pitcher in the major leagues. Being in an epic developmental system for pitchers won't hurt him much either. At 19, he has a long career ahead of him.
We think he has a great shot at a locker in Chavez Ravine by 2007.
