Stewart, a first-round pick in the 2003 draft for the Rockies, has been performing well.

He hit .317 with 10 homers and a .401 on-base percentage in the Pioneer League last year.

This season, Stewart is batting .300 with 15 HR and 45 RBI in 64 games with the Asheville Tourists of the South Atlantic League.

The Colorado player development staff believes that Stewart has the opportunity to develop into a very special player. We see him in the AAA by mid to late 2006, depending upon what kind of off-season and spring camp that he has.
