The Idaho Stampede
swept a two-game series with the defending CBA champion Yakima Sun Kings
over the weekend. Idaho won, 90-88, on Friday in Yakima. The next day the
Stampede traveled to Boise on Saturday, where they won 100-96.
Friday's win was the
Stampede's first victory in the Yakima Valley SunDome in club history. Saturday's
game was the first in Idaho's new arena, the Bank of America Centre.
Willie Burton has been
the key to the Stampede's early season success. In two games he's averaging
19.5 points and 10 rebounds per game to lead the team. Right behind him,
Roberto Bergersen is averaging 14 points and 4.5 rebounds per game
