BIO

Ryan is the Play-By-Play Radio Broadcaster and the Media & Marketing Manager for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, entering his 3rd season with the team. Pelican fans can listen to all of the play-by-play coverage on ESPN Radio 93.9 FM, 93.7 FM, and 1050 AM "The Team."

Prior to joining the Pelicans Ryan was a Broadcasting Assistant in 2003 with the Tennessee Smokies (Double-A, St. Louis). He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he served as the Sports Director at the student radio station, WUTK-FM. While at WUTK he handled play-by-play broadcasting duties for Tennessee Vols Baseball, Lady Vols Softball, Soccer and Ice Vols Hockey. He also hosted a daily sports talk show covering UT athletics with a focus on Vols football. Ryan is originally from Northern VA (Manassas), but now resides in Myrtle Beach with his wife and fellow "big orange" alum, Elizabeth. The happy couple just recently welcomed in a yellow labrador retriever, by the name of Gibbs, to their household. In his spare time Ryan enjoys, spending time with family, following his Vols, and living and dying by Washington Redskins football.
