CHL BLAZERS MOVE
LUND TO PARENT CO.;
PRESSON NAMED NEW GM & OTHER APPOINTMENTS

Brad Lund
was named chief executive officer of Express Sports, owner Robert A. Funk
announced today. Lund, 34, served as the General Manager of the CHL Oklahoma
City Blazers since the clubÁs inception in 1992.
Under Lund's guidance, the Blazers have received much local and national attention.
The Blazers have ranked among the top five in average attendance for eight
consecutive seasons.
Lund will still remain a member of the Central Hockey League Executive Committee and serve as a liaison between the hockey club and Express Sports.
In his first act as CEO, Lund designated Robert Funk, Jr., as chief operating officer; Doug Sauter senior vice president; Eric Newendorp vice president; and Sara Fornaciari vice president/director of tennis. The current Blazers administration will head up the parent company (Express Sports) in similar capacities and serve as directors in their various departments.
Express Sports owns and operates the Oklahoma City Blazers, currently ranked first in average attendance among the 105 minor professional hockey franchises in North America, and recently acquired the IGA Tennis Classic which will begin its 16th year as a WomenÁs Tennis Association tour stop in Oklahoma City on February 18. Express Sports is also finishing negotiations on expansion into a golf division, and with Spectacor Management Group (SMG) in regards to a marketing partnership for the $90 million Oklahoma City Downtown Arena, scheduled to open in early 2002.
Presson Named GM
Chris Presson, an eight-year veteran of minor league hockey management, was named General Manager of the Oklahoma City Blazers, Express Sports CEO Brad Lund announced today.
Presson replaces Lund as General Manager of the Blazers. Presson returns to the Blazers after three years away from the club. In his absence from the Blazers, the 1998-99 Central Hockey League Executive of the Year served as general manager of the Topeka ScareCrows for two seasons, and of the expansion New Haven Knights of the United Hockey League.
Presson held a variety
of positions during his six-year stint with the Blazers, including assistant
general manager and ticket manager. Presson started with the club as an intern
during the 1992-93 season. He will assume all duties related to the hockey
club including business, marketing and public relations strategies.
