Snider Secures
Brahmas Post
A new Assistant General Manager is named in Fort Worth.
07.22.04 - Fort Worth,
TX - Come late fall, there will be a new Assistant General Manager in the
Fort Worth Brahmas front office.
Ryan Snider has been
named to the position, assuming the duties for the upcoming 2004-05 season.
Snider shall relieve
Dave McLain, who recently left the Brahmas, as the teams second in command.
Brahmas’ General
Manager Mike Barack is enthusiastic to have Snider, who has already been working
hard for a month, officially assume the role of Assistant GM.
“We are going to
miss Dave, as he did an outstanding job for us, but we are definitely excited
to have Ryan as a part of our organization,” Barack said.
Snider is a 30-year-old
native of Star Lake, New York. He graduated with a Bachelors in Sports Management
in 1996 from Ithaca College, and received his MBA earlier this year from Penn
State.
Assistant GM is one of
the toughest jobs at the arena, but Snider is prepared, with plenty of sports
management experience. He has held executive positions at three East Coast
NCAA Division I schools, including Cornell and basketball and hockey powerhouse
Villanova University.
Ryan’s responsibilities
with Fort Worth are numerous, including the oversight of all finances and
relations with the facility, alongside having his foot in all other Brahma
hockey operations.
