Mudbugs Shutout
Bucks 1-0 In Game Three

Louisiana - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs got the only of the game and Mudbugs
goalie Ken Carroll made it stand up with 23 saves as Bossier-Shreveport won
1-0 in Game Three of the President’s Cup Finals.
Bossier-Shreveport now
takes a 2-1 lead over the Laredo Bucks in the best of seven series. Forward
Forbes MacPherson tallied the only goal as he put the puck in off a wild goalmouth
scramble in the third period.
The Bucks controlled
the play in the early minutes of period number one, but Mudbugs goalie Ken
Carroll was equal to the task.
The Mudbugs were 0-3
on the power play in the period, including a 36 second two-man advantage.
The Bucks were 0-1 on the man advantage as neither team scored in the frame.
Laredo out shot the Bugs 13-7.
In the second period
the Bucks were 0-3 on the power play while Bossier-Shreveport was 0-1, but
once again neither team could score. The Mudbugs out shot Laredo 4-2 in the
period.
In the third, the Bucks
had the early chances again, but were unable to beat Carroll. MacPherson was
able to capitalize after he won a face off in the Bucks zone and then scored
on a wild scramble in front of the net at 7:06.
Carroll stopped all eight
shots he faced in the third period to complete the shutout, improving to 8-3
in the playoffs.
Bucks goalie Marco Emond
played well allowing only one goal on 18 shots, but fell to 2-2. The Bucks
and Mudbugs were each 0-5 on the power play.
