He has appeared in 23 NHL games with the Panthers since turning pro, but has spent the majority of his career with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. This year's turn with the Rampage, as with other players, is asterisked by the fact that he might have been with the NHL club save the strike.
Thus far in 2004-05, Krajicek has already surpassed his scoring total from last season, tallying 18 points (2 goals, 16 assists) in 45 AHL games.
“He’s a great skater with tremendous puck handling skills,” said one source. “With his playmaking ability developing every game, he should be able to generate some serious offense at the next level.”
Krajicek is not a particularly physical blueliner, but with a solidly built 6-foot 2-inch frame, he should be able to hold his own against most big leaguers.
Lukas showed that he could produce in the NHL last season, scoring 7 points in 18 games.
His defensive play is his area of weakness right now, but not bad enough to keep him off of the ice in Florida. He seems to rise to the challege of better play.
