Columbus Blue Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets are developmentally challenged at the moment, but Alexandre Picard stands out not only for his club, but in the national picture as well.

Toronto Maple Leafs

If Carlo Colaiacovo can avoid more brain banging collisions, he may turn out to be one of the bright spots in the Maple Leafs development picture. John Pohl is not far behind.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL)

It's been a dismal season for the Pittsburgh Penguins, but with the slew of budding young superstars the Pens have collected, the club's future, on the ice, at least, is very bright indeed.

With the likes of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Marc-Andre Fleury, Ryan Whitney, Ryan Stone, plus a likely Top Three pick in the 2006 Entry Draft. It's a pantheon of young talent comparable to the group the Edmonton Oilers amassed two decades back. Fleury remains one of our hottest prospects, moving up from No.6 in the 2005 FAB50 Hockey rankings.
