The 5-11 and 185-pound Day scored the game-winning goal and had three points (2g-1a) in Peoria's 5-2 win at Greensboro on Saturday. He scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in the Rivermen's 2-0 win at Wheeling on Sunday.
In his first professional season, Day has scored seven goals and 14 points and is tied for second on the team with three game-winning goals while playing in 18 of Peoria's first 37 games.
Saint John's Maple Leafs goaltender Mikael Tellqvist is the AHL StellarStopper for January 12.
Mikael started three games for the Baby Leafs this past week, going 2-0-1.
Friday night, he stopped 31 shots in the Leafs 4-3 win over the Baby Pens, breaking a six game winless streak.
Tellqvist also made 43 saves against Wilkes Barre in a 5-2 victory and 48 stops in a 1-1 tie versus the St. John Flames.
Trenton's Cody Rudkowsky is the ECHL StellarStopper for January 6-12.
