Our Commitment To Privacy
We value your kids' privacy and safety. We would like to make sure that the parents of our readers know what we do, and do not do, in regard to collection of information. We leave this posting in easily accessible places on our website for those who are concerned about privacy to review our policies.
What This Privacy Notice Covers

www.mlnkids.com. It does not cover any of our other magazines or websites
(see separate page) or affiliate sites
(chat rooms, company store, etc.) or those of any of our linked advertisers.

If your child
uses our search engine, they will be searching (by default) our full index
of magazine pages and other sports websites in our system. We do have some
advertisers from time to time sponsoring products and services that you might
consider inappropriate. If they use the Google search box to do a www (World
Wide Web) search, they will be moved into Google's full view of the internet
universe. Please tell your child to refrain from using the search engine if
you do not want them leaving this magazine.
At this time, we do not use a traffic analysis system for the kids pages, as there is not one which currently meets our requirements regarding advertising or the use of data on children.
Our company store is operated by Amazon.com. Please see their privacy notices for information as to how they process and protect you.
Our provider for chat rooms and the sign-up for MLN Kids Club, as wel as discussion groups, is Network54. Network 54 is a separate entity which allows us to put our navigation bar into their web page layouts. They collect wholly voluntary information (Even your web address is not required.) They are governed by their own privacy agreements and information access rules. Please visit their site to learn more about their policies and procedures. If you provide your email address, we may send you our private newsletter. You are under no obligation to keep it coming to you, and may turn it off at any time. Your information is not shared with any other company, or with other units of MLN Sports Group LLC.
We currently use one advertising service on MLNKids.com which may collect information on you (or their subsidiaries and affiliates) when you click on the banners that lead to their advertisers' sites. In addition, the advertisers' sites may collect information on you. Please see the advertising service, below, or the specific advertiser site for for their privacy policies.

Even if you remain in the same window when you click on a "hot-link" (button or text link) that takes you to another site, we are not responsible for the privacy rules of our advertisers and/or companies who provide us with special services, such as chat rooms or discussion groups.

The Way We Use Information:
We collect information on kids who want to use our chatrooms. We do this to protect them from adults using the same rooms. If we ask for your address, it would be maintained for sending you product(s) that you requested, and for no other purpose.

Our on-line store is hosted by Amazon.com. They operate a secure server which works with other secure servers to provide e-commerce service. Please see their site for information on electronic privacy and secure ordering.
Our Commitment To Data Security
What information that we do collect remains with the company. We do not lend or hire your personal information to any other company by providing them with mailing lists or data. Our servers are secured to the best of our ability, and we work with established, quality partners to provide you services. See our partners and sub-information providers' privacy policies to determine what they do to insure data security.
Our Commitment To Children's Privacy:
We believe that children are our most important asset. As a sports website, we do attract children and young adults. Information gathered on children is collected purely to verify their age and protect their sections of the publication (MLNKids.com). We only include single ad banners, screened for their age appropriateness, in our children's section. As we are not in control of all of our ad systems on MLN Sports Zone, we try to limit inappropriate advertisers on our magazine site, and screen more tightly on our kids' site. If one appears whom you believe is in violation of our policies, or promotes goods or services harmful to children, contact us.
We believe that a part of responsible parenting is teaching your children how to react to advertising banners which appear on websites. While we use advertising services which screen their advertisers, there will be products available on certain pages that are inappropriate for children and youth (cigar companies, non-pornographic men's magazines, etc.).
We encourage parents to participate in their child's browsing of the site, and help them to make informed choices about where they travel on the Internet. Use of a screening software like NetNanny or SurfWatch is also highly recommended.
How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information
If you wish to remove yourself from our mailing list for the private newsletter, the code for that removal is included at the top of every email sent by us. Click on the link, and you will be removed. If you are not, please contact info@minorleaguenews.com for more assistance.
